Heavy breathing
Heart pounding
Feet slamming
To the ground
Keeping pace
With the slugs
Sweat falling
From my face
Ignore the pain
Can't stop now
Keep going forward
Left, right, left
Bones compressing
To the beat
Kneecaps jostling
With my feet
But I keep going
Must be strong
Keep the faith
Continue on
It's not much farther
Till I'm done
Then I can quit
Once I've won.
