Talking In My Sleep

Through the dark night
The evil surrounds me
Catching me in its talons
Holding me in its grip
Sending its minions
To invade my mind
Terrifying visions
Maddening thoughts
Screaming voices
Piercing my consciousness
Feeding me lies
Throwing the trail
Seeding the horror
Watching its growth
Carrying off my sanity
Replacing it with fear
Overwhelming my being
Controlling my mind
Manipulating my dreams
Until the lights turn on
And I am revived
Returned to the world
To feign sanity
Until another night.
